Hi, we’re Gina and Rhiannon!
Two friends from two very different corners of the world, the UK and Australia. Our paths first crossed in sunny Alicante, Spain, and from the moment we met it felt as though life had lined us up for a reason......
Despite growing up on opposite sides of the globe, we’d both lived through the same pattern — hectic jobs, constant rushing, and the creeping sense that something essential was missing. Eventually, we each found the courage to step away and follow a different path, one that led us into holistic wellness, self-discovery, and a slower, more soulful way of living. With the ambition to share with others what we have learnt along the way, we created Vikasana Retreats!
For Rhiannon, after a number of years as a lawyer and social worker engaged in humanitarian work, an unexpected encounter along the Camino de Santiago and a serious injury that left her wheelchair-bound for three months became a catalyst for change and led her to leave her old life behind and begin anew in Alicante, Spain. This period of transition sparked profound personal growth, and while yoga and meditation had been a constant thread since a young age, moving beyond the physical practice to a deeper exploration of yogic philosophy ultimately inspired her to train and qualify as a yoga instructor.
Gina first discovered the world of Ayurveda at a time when she was questioning the purpose that lay beyond her fast-paced career in international events management. The constant travel and relentless climb up the corporate ladder had begun to wear thin. Learning about this ancient “science of life,” rooted in natural principles, offered her a new way of seeing the world - one that felt both grounding and transformative. Driven by curiosity, she devoted long hours to study while continuing to balance her demanding job for several more years. Eventually, she travelled to India for advanced training and took the big leap to make Ayurveda and natural therapies her full-time vocation.

Rhiannon Partington
I am a dedicated yoga practitioner with over 20 years of personal practice and a certified yoga teacher, trained in a comprehensive one-year program (2022–2023).
I teach Gentle, Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, and Viniyoga, adapting each class to support students of all levels. Through my exploration of meditation I’ve completed three 10-day Vipassana meditation courses and I enjoy weaving meditation and breathing practices into my classes to support students in cultivating balance, calmness and inner awareness.
For me, yoga is more than postures—it’s breath, meditation, mindfulness, and a way of living that nurtures body, mind, and spirit. Alongside yoga, I am also a qualified Billings Ovulation Method® teacher, which is a natural approach to fertility awareness and understanding of your menstrual cycle and hormones, in order to support health and well-being. Both practices reflect my belief in healthy living, balance, and connection with the rhythms of nature.
My classes are a space to slow down, connect with your body, mind, and spirit, and cultivate balance, awareness, and inner calm. I aim to inspire students to carry the insights of their practice into daily life, integrating yoga beyond the mat.

My journey into holistic healing began with deep study at the Ayurveda Institute UK under the mentorship of Dr. Deepika Rodrigo, where I completed Level 1 and 2 Diplomas and 2.5 years of intensive academic and clinical training to become a qualified Ayurvedic Practitioner. Guided by a passion for authentic wisdom traditions, I continued my studies in India, immersing myself in advanced Ayurvedic massage, Panchakarma therapies, and Ayurveda pharmacy with Greens Ayurveda in Kerala and Aithen in Goa.
I also completed a Sound Healing training with Tibetan singing bowls at Aithen, Goa, and Yoga teacher training at Sampoorna Yoga, Goa.
I am currently expanding my healing journey through Dr. Gabor Maté’s professional Compassionate Inquiry training, exploring the profound link between emotional healing, presence, and self-awareness.
